Covenant Hospice of Pottsville announces its Spring 2010 Hospice Volunteer Training on Thursday March 18, 2010 at the Schuylkill Mall large community room near the K-Mart entrance.  The Schuylkill Mall is located at Route 61 and I-81, Frackville, PA 17931.  The training is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and free of charge.

This Volunteer Training will provide a comprehensive Angel / Volunteer training that will prepare its attendees for hospice work.  This event will be facilitated in a retreat-like atmosphere; refreshments and lunch will be provided.  Interested parties can contact Julia Sophy RN, MSN, Hospice Supervisor at 570-385-5522 or 800-726-8761 for information and an application for this event.

A popular holiday classic reports that angels earn their wings every time a bell rings.  Hospice Volunteers are earth-bound angels that earn their wings everyday through supporting hospice patients and their families.

Hospice volunteers are like Angels to terminally ill patients and their families.  They support them with companionship, comfort and peace of mind.  These everyday Angels are an integral part of a team of professionals that ministers to the needs of the terminally ill.  Covenant Hospice is a faith-based organization that appreciates the services its Hospice Volunteers / Angels render and welcome all who may be interested in this upcoming event.</description>
